Movistar Arena Colombia postpones concerts in Bogotá due to coronavirus

Movistar Arena Colombia postpones concerts by artists such as Alejandro Sanz, Juanes and Raphael in Bogotá. President Ivan Duque decreed that events with a number greater than 500 people must be postponed.

The shows scheduled for March 12, 13 and 14 would be rescheduled according to the artists’ schedules; however, a specific date is unknown at this time.

Concerts that Movistar Arena Colombia postpones in Bogotá

Due to the arrival of the coronavirus in Colombia, Movistar Arena and Colombiana de Escenarios confirmed the postponement of different concerts scheduled for this weekend.

The directors and organizers of the concerts sent a statement in which they point out that they adhere to the instructions of Mayor Caludia López in favor of ensuring «the health and well-being of citizens».

The Spanish singer-songwriter would be visiting our country these days and his presentations would take place on March 12 in Bogotá and March 14 in Cali, but due to the latest announcements from the Mayor’s Office and the Presidency, these events will be postponed, so the singer sent a heartfelt message to his fans.

The interpreter of “Tequila” would be appearing next March 14 at the Movistar Arena in Bogotá as part of his “Para todos” tour; however, his show will not take place on this date.

Due to this, he sent a statement in which he states:

“We are going to reschedule and keep our appointment. Bogotá, I love you, we will meet again soon. We will be giving more information about new dates as soon as possible.”

The Spanish singer and actor would be carrying out his symphonic show in Bogotá on March 13, but given the latest announcements, the artist was also forced to postpone his presentation.
