The mythical Carlos Santana rock icon, has released the first single from his forthcoming album «Heart» and it is in the company of the Colombian Juanes with whom he sings the song «The skinny girl»this album will be on sale in March next year.
Santana has also confirmed that he and his band will perform at a one-off event in Guadalajara Mexicoon December 14 at the Arena Vicente Fernandez, featuring superstar musicians united to celebrate their Latin musical heritage. Celebrities confirmed for the concert include Chocquibtown, Gloria Estefan, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Juanes, Miguel, Niña Pastori, Samuel Rosa de Skank, Salvador Santana, Soledad, Diego Torres, among others. Other participations will be announced soon.
This concert, which marks the homecoming of Carlos, it’s the start of the festivities around the release of the album. In addition to the stars participating in the December concert, the album will feature collaborations from Lila Downs, Ziggy Marley Y Romeo Santos.
«Heart»the special event and the album, mark Carlos’ return to his birthplace, Autlan, Jalisco, south of the city of Guadalajara, thus celebrating its Latin musical heritage. This is the platform that demonstrates Carlos’ influence on Latin music and new generations of Latin superstars. Different musical genres are represented such as pop, rock, salsa, hip-hop, folk, reggae, traditional and bachata.
Santana recorded this new project in his studio in Las Vegasunder the production of Lester Mendez.
This album will be a joint release between Sony Latin Iberia and RCA Records. The executive production is carried out by Carlos Santana, Clive Davis, CCO of Sony MusicEntertainment and long-time Santana collaborator, and Afo Verde, Chairman and CEO of Sony Music Entertainment Latin Region, Spain and Portugal.
In 40 years and the same number of albums, Santana has sold more than 100 million records and his concerts have had an audience of more than one hundred million people around the world.
