A blanket is a community of witches, wiccans or vampires very united, usually small (from 3 to 13 traditionally, occasionally up to 20), which regularly meets religious and/or social sometimes. The Aquelarres can meet for training purposes, to celebrate Sabbats or Esbats and/or to perform magical spells. They also gather to celebrate important passage rites for their members.
The Aquelarres can be formed by undepented witches or by one or several families. Children are incorporated into Aquelarre as they reach the right age, so a coven can be transmitted from generation to generation. When those are formed by unrelated members, new members can be incorporated following an initiatory process. Most of the Aquelarres do not admit members under 18 unless they are related to someone who is already part of the Aquelarre.
Members usually swear secret and loyalty in various degrees, according to tradition.
When a blanket becomes too large or if there is a disagreement between members about any number of things, it can be divided or «hive» in two afflicts that can go on separate paths or join periodically for important events.
