A grimorio is a magic manual or instruction book of a magician. It is much more formal than a book of shadows.
While a book of shadows is more similar to a newspaper, a grimoorio is specifically an instruction book to perform magical tasks, create magical objects and symbols and interact with spiritual beings, such as angels and demons.
In general, it is believed that the Grimoor word comes from ancient French Grammaireterm used to designate Latin texts. Later, the word was used in colloquial French to describe something difficult to understand.
Main conclusions
In witchcraft, a grimoorio is a book or manual that contains magical knowledge, rituals, spells and other hidden information. It serves as a personal compendium of the practices, experiences and magical beliefs of a sorcerer.
The grimoles may include instructions on sorcery, herbalism, divination, ceremonial magic and other esoteric themes.
They are often hand written and customized by the witch, reflecting their individual path and spiritual journey.
The grimoles are considered sacred and are often transmitted from generation to generation or are guarded by their owners.

What is the difference between a grimoorio and a shadow book?
Technically, a grimoorio and a book of shadows are two different things. However, in modern times, people tend to use these words indistinctly. The difference between the two is reduced to some things:
A grimorio is an old term used to define a book of spells, invocations, etc. Contrast with the Book of Shadows, a term popularized by the Wiccano movement in the twentieth century.
Some say that grimorio is the term that non -Wiccanos must use and reserve the book of shadows for Wiccans.
The grimoles, for some people, are books of spells and rituals written in ancient or cryptic alphabets to maintain magic in secret. Although the book of shadows can be protected by magical symbols, it is not necessarily written in an ancient alphabetical code.
In the book of shadows I write down my dreams, spiritual and emotional experiences, recipes, study notes and much more!
The difference between the grimoorio is the book of the shadows and the simple, the grimoorio contains all the spells transmitted by the different affliction of Aquelarre in Aquelarre, finding an original grimoire would be like finding a lottery since a book would have to have the approval of the previous one to be put up for sale, assuming that you find it, surely it will not cost $ 10, but at least 500/600 $. in finding it.
And then it would be a unique text.
You may ask: do I have to record everything in an old cryptic alphabet? The answer is no. Obviously, no. Unless you feel especially attracted to do so.
Me too? I do not have that time, nor do I have anything that must hide others at this time.
But if you have someone who tends to sniff in your things or someone who would not approve your trade, you can use ancient alphabets or symbols to record them in your grimoire. What to do and what should not be done to have a grimoire?
Write down everything you find of value, do not limit yourself. That’s all.
