Have you ever questioned yourself what does it mean to be a woman? The truth is that it is a complex question because to begin with, there is no correct answer.
There is not even a single answer to this question, because although for years we were pigeonholed into the role of ‘housewives’ or ‘family mothers’, we are much more than that. I mean, we are so multifaceted, there are not enough words to describe how passionate, loyal, compassionate, intelligent and talented we are.
Probably another very distinctive aspect of being a woman is that no one is the same as the other. And, although it may sound corny to some, it is true. We are unique, even though we have so much in common. The feminine force permeates our being, but the authenticity of each one is what makes us historical.
What is the meaning of being a woman in 2025?
Despite how impossible this question may seem, the Glamor editors took on the task of reflecting on what makes us feel (and are) so special.

Being a woman is the best gift from my perspective, we are capable of giving life, we are beings extremely connected with our emotions, we have creative abilities and we manage to be multitask on several occasions.
The longevity factor is also on our side, since on average women live longer than men, and this is due to a combination of biological and social factors.
Being a woman in our times for me means being sensitive, intuitive, supportive, compassionate, empathetic and innovative, we have many things in our favor and we can take the responsibility of changing something thanks to our feminine power by raising our voices and being sisters.
It is important that we are open to change, helping each other, joining different struggles without forgetting gender equality. Let’s transform change into history for new generations.

I feel very lucky to be a woman, right at this time, because before us there were other brave women who raised their voices to fight for our rights and so that today we can be freer and live in a more equitable world.
Of course, there is a long way to go, there is still a lot to do and we have the responsibility to continue opening more doors for the next generations; That is what being a woman means to me: continuing with this process of change, based on my possibilities and embracing my authenticity. It is also taking over my creative voice, without fear or limits, because women come to give birth (and not just babies), we also give birth and give birth to creative projects, companies, ideas, artistic works, foundations and more, to improve our society.
