Highgrove House, the private residence of the then Prince of Wales, a 16 -hectare farm in Gloudeshire, (a slightly more informal alternative than floors 8 and 9 of the Kensington Palace, official residence of the eldest son of the late queen Elizabeth II), often appears in this book. It was here that King Carlos liked to spend his free time, it was here that he dragged Harry to see Shakespeare's works («All torture,» he writes, remembering what he thought of those forced outputs). Despite this, in Highgrove is the «headquarters» where he took refuge as a child with his brother William: They called him Club H and is in the basement. «When I needed to be alone,» he writes, «there was nothing better than an anti -aircraft shelter in the English countryside.» In these gardens, designed by Rosemary Verey, the prince planned epic battles as a child with his toy soldiers. This place keeps carefree moments and also unhappy memories: His mother's funeral and also his first encounter with which Prince Harry calls «the other woman,» stretch.

On the other hand, Sandringham's royal residence in Norfolk, is a farm of eight thousand hectares, a place very dear to Queen Elizabeth. That is why he has become one of Harry's favorite places, where Carlos played with him as a child and where the royal family met for Christmas. However, like all old houses, he had a series of fun inconveniences to which, however, he had love, as he recounts in his memoirs: «I was always sensitive to heat, like my dad. We often joked about it. Low everywhere, but in the dining room it was tropical Corgis They always betrayed us. The air current made them scream, so the grandmother asked: 'Is there a current?' «
