The challenge for this garden was to do a renovation and update, allied to the contemporary style of the house. The design of more than 1500 m² was created by landscaper Renata Guastelli and brought, among its differentials, a lot of tropical vegetation, with different shades of green, volumetry, perennial plants, which the more they grow, the more beauty they add to the environment.
The large beds received plants of different sizes, ensuring movement and harmony and dense volumes. In the list of plants are: Phoenix Canarienses palm, white ipe, Rabo de Raposa palm, green Texas grass, purple Texas grass, jabuticabeira, mango jasmine, undulattum philodendron, guaimbé, cigar maranta, pacová, pandanus utilis, Adam’s rib, blue agapanthus and emerald grass.
To maximize the use of space, take advantage of unevenness and value the pool area, which gained privacy as it faces the front of the condominium, the landscape designer used the canaries of the Canary Islands along with white ipe trees. The pool is on the same level as these species and, together, they form a closure and guarantee privacy.
The entrance to the house has a staircase of almost 15 m: to follow the entire path, the side of the stairs is led and decorated with green and voluminous vegetation. One of the plants used here was grass, very rustic and, at the same time, delicate, with its different feathers.
The vertical garden that overlooks the gourmet area adds even more value to the environment that was designed to socialize, contemplate and receive friends and family. Here, exuberance is guaranteed by large and varied leaves, contemporary with low maintenance.
Inside the house, the highlight is the internal garden, which has a ficus lyrata planted inside a concrete box. It is important to point out that, as it is inside the house, the box was used, super closed, below ground level, with all the necessary drainage, so that the plant can live in that space for a long time.
“My objective was to work a lot on the volumes and unevenness of the garden, I really like to use grasses that bring volume and movement to the garden, at the same time, guaranteeing an incredible and beautiful decoration”, reveals Renata.
The project also includes a small chapel, which was designed in the midst of the pandemic, surrounded by jabuticabeira, pitangueira and plants such as maranta cigar, lambari zebra, pacova and zamioculca. In addition to the kennel, a project created by architect Elisa Lavie, which is also decorated by guaimbés.
