Sir Peter Cook believes in the power of drawing and its central role in creativity. In 2014, Cook was invited to design this building, so his Crab Studio office along with Jenna Al-Ali developed this building that will be used by students of paint, sculpture, illustration, architecture, drama, among others.

Built around natural light has 140 square meters and an oval window of 30 square meters as the main lighting. On the this side there is another natural light source in the form of a low window located under a long bank that emanates a mysterious glow.

Created by the firm Avant Garde Archigram, the plug-in City never contracted but is considered an innovating project that even today causes debates. In the, Cook combines architecture, technology and society, and offers a new fascinating approach to urbanism, reversing the traditional perceptions of the role of infrastructure in the city.

This project suggests a hypothetical fantasy city that contains modular residential units that «connect» to a mega central infrastructure machine. In fact, Plug-in City is not a city, but a constant evolution mega-structure that incorporates residences, transport and other essential services.
