Samhain’s ancestral wisdom

Between the autumn equinox and the winter solstice

“The light becomes dim, the cold progresses, the roots descend to the nucleus in which life is formed. We become inward, we become reflective, we stop until the rhythm of sleep and memory.

In the Samhain Celta, still celebrated as Halloween/ Hallowmas, the veils among the worlds become especially fine, and people fervorly seek the spirit of those who have left. Practically at all times and place, the guide of dead people, and are invited to be summoned. It is believed that winged beings, especially bees, since the flight gift allows them to process among worlds, transport the messages.

We long for everything that has happened: stages of life, cultures, creatures, ecosystems – and the people who are loved. Remember, to talk about ours, honor them through rituals, is to return them to life.

Making room in our memory for loved ones who have left, hopes, dreams and ideals enrich us, makes us more space and being more alive. As soon as we make a hole in our lives, they find gaps to give us blessings and wisdom from the other world. ”
