As Saint Gertrude longed to greet the Virgin Mary, she saw Our Lady who told her: «No greeting can surpass this, nor can it be sweeter in my ears than God the Supreme Father acclaimed me in this way:»
Save Maria! In union with that reverence with which God the Father acclaimed you, and by his omnipotence he has preserved you from all stain and sin.
Ave Maria! In union with that love with which God the Son has illuminated you with his wisdom and has turned you into a star of sweet light that has illuminated heaven and earth.
Ave Maria! In union with that sweet anointing of the Holy Spirit that has made you so full of grace that all who seek grace through you will find it.
Remember now that the work that each Holy Trinity has done in you by taking the human flesh of its substance has so united the Divine Nature that God became Man and Man was raised up, and his soul was so filled with all sweetness and joy. that No human heart can conceive.
And since then each creature with great astonishment recognizes and confesses that you are the blessed among all women and incomparably exalted over every creature and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus, who renews, sanctifies and blesses all things forever. Amen.
It has also been revealed that whoever is recommended to God through this prayer, God will not forget him, and even if he allows a fall, God’s grace will sustain him and help him return to penance more easily.

Very wise Jesus, you know and I know from my own sad experience how fragile and weak I am that I could not persevere in good or resist temptation for an hour.
