Today I bring you some prayers to ask for the sick who have serious health problems.
There have been many times we have heard people say, «Health is the most important,» which is correct.
Having iron health is very important, because that way we manage to live and enjoy our lives more, without any kind of complication.
However, we are not always aware of the importance of having good health until we are victims of an illness, whether carnal or spiritual.
In these moments, there is a feeling that arises within us, a feeling of grief and despair, especially when we (or a loved one) suffer from a disease for which doctors do not know how to proceed to cure it.
Prayer to ask for the healing of a seriously ill person
It is very important to remember that there is a person who never abandons his children. Yes! God. There are several people with incurable diseases who, despite the fact that doctors have given up treating their diseases…they did not give up and put their faith in the hands of the Lord, seeing how their diseases disappeared or stopped advancing. We can then see how God can help achieve true miracles. The first step is to believe and have faith in him.

We know that illnesses favor us moments of reflection, and a greater approximation of You, through the paths of pain and silence.
But we appeal to your mercy and ask: That you extend your luminous hand to those who are sick, suffering limitations, pain and uncertainty.
Make faith and trust sprout again strong in their hearts. Relieve their pains and give them calm and peace.
Heals their souls so that the bodies are also restored.
Give them relief, consolation and light the light of hope in their hearts, so that, protected by faith and hope, they can develop universal love, because that is the path to happiness and well-being… it is the path that leads us to you

Lord God, I stand before you, in an attitude of prayer. I know that you hear me and see me.
I know that I am in you and that your strength is in me. Look at this my body marked by disease.
You know, Lord, how hard it is for me to suffer.
I know that you are not happy with the suffering of your children.
Give me, Lord, strength and courage to overcome the moments of despair and exhaustion.
Help me to be patient and understanding, simple and modest.
At this moment I offer you all my worries, anxieties and sufferings, so that I may be more worthy of you.
Accept, Lord, that I unite my sufferings to the sufferings of your Son Jesus Christ, who for the love of his brothers gave his life on the top of the Cross.

Prayer to San Rafael Archangel for the healing of diseases
Saint Raphael the Archangel is patron saint of doctors and the blind.
San Rafael Archangel is one of the 7 archangels who are before the throne of God. He is known as the «archangel of healing» because of his divine intervention on the character Tobit, who was cured of blindness by him.
San Rafael is also known as the patron saint of travelers, as he guides devotees on spiritual journeys in search of truth and knowledge.
In the book of Tobias, chapters from 5 to 9 (Old Testament), Saint Raphael helped Tobias to make balm with the entrails of a fish and, in this way, helped cure the blindness of Tobit, Tobias’s father.
Rafael means «The Lord of the Cure» or «Medicine of God» and is widely invoked by doctors, nurses and all those who suffer from any disease.
San Rafael Archangel is a powerful intercessor who helps, according to God’s will, to heal physical, mental and spiritual illnesses.
The prayer below can be made to invoke Saint Raphael whenever there is a special intention.

Oh, kind San Rafael Archangel, I invoke you as patron of those who have been affected by the disease.
You have prepared the remedy that cured Tobias’s blindness and his name means «The Lord heals.»
I turn to you, imploring your divine help in my current need:

If it is God’s will, cure my illness or, at least, grant me the grace and strength I need to be able to bear it patiently, offering it for the forgiveness of my sins and for the salvation of my soul.

Like young Tobias, I chose you as my companion on my journey through this vale of tears. I want to follow your inspirations every step of the way, so that I can reach the end of my journey under your constant protection and in the grace of God.
Archangel San Rafael Blessed, you who have revealed yourself as the divine assistant of the Throne of God, come into my life and help me in this moment of trial.
Grant me the grace and blessing of God and the favor that I ask for your powerful intercession.
Great Physician of God, I beg you to heal me as you did with Tobias, if this is the will of the Creator.
