The Phoenix Bird is a huge bird engulfed in flames and with red-orange plumage, like fire.

It is believed that it was the only animal in Eden that resisted temptation, and this made it an eternal being.

It is a magical and fabulous being that has been portrayed in various mythologies, but symbolizes practically the same thing for different cultures; immortality and resurrection. In Egypt he was called Bennu and symbolized the Sun, which dies at night and is reborn in the morning.

The phoenix was considered by the Greeks and Egyptians as a demigod and, according to legend, this being is consumed by its own flames every 500 years. When the phoenix has fulfilled its vital period, it builds a nest with aromatic wood and sandalwood that it later burns with a blow of its feathers. The phoenix burns and once it has become ashes, a young and new phoenix is reborn from among them.

According to Chinese mythology, the phoenix is a creature that has little to do with the flaming bird, since it has the body of a fish, the neck of a snake, and the back of a turtle.
