Choose an adequate color

For beginners: Work first with a single color. Learn your moods.

In the same way that a painter starts working with primary colors before learning to mix custom tones, doing color color gives you the opportunity to isolate energy and vibration.

Start by applying the basic principles of colored magic to the magic of candles.

For advanced professionals: Try designing spells with mixtures of personalized colors.

For example, use red and yellow candles to conjure summer love, or blue and green to foster a quiet mind in money matters. Use a candle of each color, or make your own spell candle and mix the colors in a single candle. Try this marble swirl technique.

Choose an appropriate aroma

For beginners: Always Try to find candles with natural materials and ingredients. Choose or manufacture a scented candle with essential oils or herbs. Or, if you think they are too expensive, simply buy an aroma version and wind them in your own oils and herbs.

For advanced professionals: Get the most out of your deep herbalist knowledge working with local herbs, hand -colored or wild in your walkers through nature. The closer to Earth, the better!

Incorporate the materials collected to your candle manufacturing process as you want. Crush them in a mortar and a pedestal, subt them into oils or ring the base with them during a ritual.

Choose an adequate wax

For beginners: Choose an adequate natural wax for your project. Consider first the practical aspects, as if the wax works best for pillars or for container candles.

But also considers the possibility of incorporating the magical properties of the wax. For example, bee wax smells like summer and is a precious candle for the Litha altar.

O Try berries wax for winter rituals

For the advanced professional: Go to the fountain visiting a local beekeeping farm to know the cultivation process of the bee wax for candles.

Ask the natural variations of the wax, how to choose high quality wax and the best way to obtain it for your project.

Choose an adequate form

For the beginner: Working with molds is a difficult project for a beginner.

Extravagant molds oriented to witchcraft exist. They exist and you can buy them. But you don’t necessarily need a specific witchcraft mold to shape your candle.

For example, a standard cubic candle of a milk cardboard mold for beginners symbolizes solidarity, a firm base and rational thinking, perfect qualities for a financial or professional spell.

For the advanced professional: Have fun and give free rein to your creativity by choosing increasingly complex forms. The more energy and attention you put in your spell candle, the better.

And yes, the energy to correct errors count!

As you improve, you can even design your own personalized molds and give life to a vision not yet thought. Extra points if you start selling them on Etsy!

LOVE YOUR MICHA

For the beginner: Try to anchor the wick with a precious stone that corresponds to your spell. Anchor the wick of a candle for a love spell with pink quartz, or a candle for tranquility at home with a piece of lapislázuli.

For the advanced professional: Challenge yourself working with more advanced wick techniques, such as using wooden wicks for candles (<-affiliated link) to add an earthy and smoked touch to your spell candles.

Decorate

For beginners: To start, do it simple. Some easy ideas are:

-Take symbols in your candle that mean something for you or your ritual.

-Starcir a candle with the tree of life, Celtic knots or symbols of your tradition.

-Atat dried flowers or herbs in jar candles with a rough string to get a rustic appearance.

For the advanced professional: How many possibilities!

-Pulsa fresh herbs on the sides of the pillar candle. Then, cover them slightly with melted wax to seal them.

-So softens the surface of your candle. Next, it embeds Strass details on the sides following significant patterns.

-Draby detailed mandalas.

Ange your candle

For beginners: Before the use ritual, join the fingers in a natural oil (such as olive oil, coconut or jojoba) and gently stroke the sides of the candle until they are slightly covered.

For the advanced professional: Customize your anointing with an adequate essential oil essential oil, a mixture of essential oils or soaking appropriate herbs for the rite in a base oil (such as olive oil, coconut or jojoba).

  1. Well, Hello!

In the first place I have read through his entire blog in the last four days after stuming with him through Pinterest. I love your content! You are doing a big thing here!

The fact is that I am asthmatic and allergies are my second name. I have always had problems with odors due to «the great genetic betrayal of my ancestors», as I like to call it (almost) jokingly. A piety party for one, please.

So, my question is: How do I aromatize my candles without using essential oils?

They give me asthma attacks of the bad (and I mean at the level of suffocation and possible death) 🙁.

I usually use fresh or dry herbs and simply add them to the wax that I use (I prefer soy or bee), but sometimes they are deposited near the wick and when they burn … let’s say it is not beautiful …

Maybe you have any advice? We would thank you very much 😀.

    Love,
    Neens

    • Have you tried to infuse a carrier oil with the herbs that you like to use and anoint your candles with infused oil? Just an idea.

      • Correct, or you can simply place the herbs around the candle, not inside it. The mere fact of having the herbs or flowers present includes its vibration in your work. If your allergies are so serious, I do not think it is worth risking your well -being including them directly in the burning of candles. Its presence will remain effective …
