Ingredients

  • 1 cup of hydrated oat flakes
  • ½ cup prunes
  • 2 cups of vegetable drink
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)

Preparation mode

Although preparing a smoothie is the simplest thing in the world, it also has its tricks. Here the crux of the matter lies in how to integrate oats so that you have a rich and creamy smoothie. On the one hand you can grind it until it is practically sand, and on the other you can hydrate it in water or a vegetable drink.

If you decide on the second option, the ideal would be that you would make it the night before and keep it in the fridge so that it would give him time to soften; If this is not possible, hydrate it for at least half an hour with warm water. Remember that this is a smoothie, so it will always be better cold.

  1. In a bowl, place the prunes and cover them with hot water. Let them hydrate for at least 10 minutes so they become softer and juicier. Drain them.
  2. In the blender glass add the oats, prunes and cinnamon powder. If you want a sweet touch, add honey or another natural sweetener. Pour the vegetable drink and blend until it is to your liking.
  3. The idea is that you obtain a smooth and homogeneous mixture, so if you think it is a bit thick, just add a little more vegetable drink. Serves immediately.

If you feel like giving it a sweeter touch in the form of fruit, add a ripe banana. Do you want it to also be cold? Freeze the banana before and you will see how good. Another option to cool it quickly but without adding the banana is by adding ice to taste and crushing it with the rest of the ingredients. And already, you can add other fruits like blueberries or raspberries. Delicious!
