Hebe is the former Greek goddess of youth, daughter of Hera and Zeusy’s wife of Heracles. Hebe was the copera of Olympus and served the gods and goddesses until he married Heracles. His successor was Ganymedes, Zeus lover.
1st of his work as Copera, he also served as a waitress for some of the other gods, preparing baths for the gods. Ares, occasionally tending to Aphrodite and sometimes it was Hera’s servant and helped her with her car.
Hebe is associated with the Roman goddess juventas. It is also known as Ganymede. Sometimes it is simply considered Hera Paisor Hera’s virginal appearance.
The name Hebe comes from the Greek and means «youth» or «flower of life.» Similarly, the Roman youth means «youth.» Hebe is usually represented with a sleeveless dress carrying a pitcher who poured Ambrosia or standing, picked up from her husband Heracles. Sometimes winges appears. He also venerated as a goddess of forgiveness.
It is known that Hebe gave birth to Heracles two twin children, Alexiar («He who avoids war») and Aniceto («The unconquerable»). All that is known about these two is that they guard the Olympus next to his father, Heracles.
Hebe’s symbols include the calyx or bowl and a high jug, as well as wings.
