elementals Picture of Jian Guo
The elementals are forces of nature that dominate the elements.
The primary material plane is composed of 4 elements; fire, earth, air and water. The elementals are beings that, on the material plane, are composed of one of the 4 elements. Thus we distinguish the elementals of fire, earth, air and water.
These beings normally inhabit an internal plane and appear on the primary plane when they are invoked by magical means. They are not very intelligent, and this is precisely the reason why they are invoked so frequently, since other smarter beings would present more resistance to the invocation.

An elemental can be summoned by spells, with a staff, or with another summoning item. The most important thing when invoking an elemental is to maintain control of it when you reach the material plane, since elementals hate to leave their residential plane and, when they reach the material plane, they do it very angry. If the elemental is destroyed it returns to the inner plane from which it came.
If the person who invokes loses control of the elemental, two things can happen; that the elemental attacks him or that he decides to return to his plane of origin. Control of an elemental can be stolen from the person who summoned it by using a specific spell to dispel magic.
air elemental
They must be invoked in an airy place with gusts of wind. They appear as a misshapen cloud that is quite indistinguishable from the environment. They attack with a blast of air, and if it’s not enough to defeat the enemy, they turn into a whirlwind. This is the most powerful form of an air elemental.

earth elemental
They are invoked on earth or rock. His form is that of a giant humanoid made up of stones, precious metals, and gems. He is slow in his movements, but tireless. Its sound is that of an earthquake and it is capable of easily destroying fortifications if they are made of stone. However, it is less effective fighting creatures in the air or in the water.
water elemental
They must be invoked in a river, lake, or sea, although other watery liquids may serve. It emerges from the water in the form of a wave with a crest at the top and arms formed by smaller waves. Once summoned, the elemental can melt into the water and reappear again later. They are a threat to ships that cross their path. They can also fight on dry land, but with less skill.

fire elemental
They should be conjured up in a good size open flame. They appear as a humanoid with blue fiery facial features, and the rest of their body as common flame. They are very aggressive and fierce, and the only way to escape their flames is with water. A nearby lake is a possible solution, since fire elementals are incapable of acting in water.
