The archetype of the old woman

Its station is winter, its lunar phase, the black moon, time of hibernation, stillness and renewal.

The old woman has cultivated the gift of silence, listening, and detachment. He knows that in a vacuum and death is the seed of a rebirth. He is wise and visionary.

Its phase of the menstrual cycle is menstruation: introspection, rest and connection phase with the deepest in us, the place where creative visions are gestated.

It is Hestia, the goddess of the home, caregiver of the inner world and the sacred fire, her symbol is the circle and leads us to the essence.

She is innana, ancient Sumerian goddess, who leaves her place as ‘Queen of heaven’ to go down to the submundo, meet her sister Ereshkigal, and there die and reborn. It personifies the journey of heroin and the soul, towards the deepest, to return with the treasure of wisdom.

She is Hécate, Greek goddess of the black moon, guardian of the crosses and deep intuition, offers her wisdom and guide to cross the darkness.

It is Ceridwen, goddess Walesa, Guardian of the cauldron of inspiration and wisdom, manifestation of universal creativity and destruction in eternal transformation.

His passage rite is death and transition, loss and aging times. With the cyclical understanding of life and death, we understand that without disintegration there is no renewal.
