BELTANE: Print of the strength of spring

«Beltane», as its opposite party in the wheel of the year, «Samhain», is an especially powerful transition in the annual cycle, which is celebrated at the end of April and early May, just at the midpoint between the spring equinox and the summer solstice.

The word «Beltane» in the Celtic tradition means ‘a good fire’, and an essential part of this ancient celebration consisted of jumping the fire, alone or accompanied, to leave behind what is limiting you and summon the fertility and permeate you of the spring force.

With the promise of summer in the air, at this time the sap rises with vigor, nature is in full growth and expansion, opening our desire to play, jump and celebrate. Beltane, in tune with the effusion of the earth, was both an ancient celebration of sexuality, of instinctive force, of the polarities of male and female energies and pleasure.

In its essence, it is a holiday to display our connection with the divine through the sensuality of being a body, to celebrate the miracle of the life of infinite ways. Here are some ideas (please share yours in the comments below!)

  • Collect the dew of the morning, wash your face with the
  • Light candles or a fire in a safe place and connects with that transformative element, with what you want to release, what you want to summon
  • Make an altar full of flowers and symbols of fertility. Pay attention where you are and what you want and need, for you and for the world, and let the force of nature permeate these desires
  • Junt yourself with other people to play music, drum, dance, sing, express your wild and instinctive energy
  • Decorate trees and bushes with tapes and colored fabrics, appreciate everything they offer us
  • Make a solar infusion of Saúco Flor: take two or three flowers and put them in a liter of water with a couple of lemon slices and integral sugar to taste or stevia. Let it rest for 3 or 4 hours and strain it … if you want it cool you put it in the fridge, and to enjoy a delicious drink: digestive and festive!
  • Celebrate sensuality through food: bless food, thanks, savor slowly, share the experience

Happy Beltane !!!
