Some words of caution
Although many of the herbs listed in can be used safely and effectively to treat minor ailments, many are dangerous and others have never demonstrated their effectiveness outside the old stories. Herbs should only be used as a treatment in situations that do not endanger life and under the supervision of an experienced doctor or herbalist.
I suggest that everyone incorporates herbs into their kitchen and herbs in their diet for health in general and I must also firmly suggest the importance of a healthy diet in general. Eat many fruits and vegetables, integral cereals and quality proteins, such as meat and grazing eggs, legumes and whole grains. Use herbs instead of salt and reduce sugar consumption. Drink infusions instead of acids and drinks high in caffeine.
Herbs can also replace chemical substances that are usually used in cosmetics and other products for people who have sensitive skin or the sense of very developed smell.
Warning
Do not assume that because something is natural is safe. Have the same caution with homemade herbal products as with those bought in stores, especially if you have known allergies. If you start having an allergic reaction (swelling, itching, rash, breathing difficulty), stop using the grass immediately and consult your doctor. A method to determine if it is allergic to a herb is to put a drop of water or herbal oil in a shiver and hit it into the inside of the elbow.
If redness or itching occurs, you are probably allergic to the grass and you should not use it. A grass worth mentioning is chamomile. If you have hay fever, you are probably allergic to it, since it is a member of the wild flora. Margarita Familia.
Allergies are not the only concern when herbs are used. Some herbs can interact with drugs and even each other. You should always inform your doctor of the herbal supplements you take, but do not trust that he knows everything.
Western medicine is just beginning to train their doctors to be attentive to interactions between herbs and medications. Many people use health herbs because we want to be proactive with the care of our health, we must also do something of our own research.
