The archons are celestial beings sent by a deity to take care of, avenge or judge the injustices that occur on our material plane.
an ancient power
Archons are true authorities on morality and ethics, and have been around since the birth of the gods. In fact, the word archon, from the Greek «archai», means origin or beginning.
In ancient Greece, the inhabitants destined to become the supreme authority, whether political or religious, were known as archons. They dictated the rules, enforced them, and punished those who strayed.
A more mythological point of view
The figure of the archon has been recognized in numerous mythologies and civilizations such as the Celtic and the Aztec, and some have managed to name up to 12 archons. This does not mean that there are no more, but that they have never materialized on our plane.
Archons are effective and powerful intermediaries. They are the conscience and, in a certain way, the physical entity that is in charge of carrying out everything that the god needs to execute. They are The Authority.
It is logical to think that these beings possess great power, but there is much more. His strength and grace are heavenly, divine. They don’t need to talk, even if they do, and they don’t need to fight, even if they carry arcane weapons. His mere presence is a revelation that clears the mind and spirit.
Archon Characteristics
They usually appear in the form of a human, male or female, with blue, white, or golden skin and hair. Most possess enormous angelic wings, although they do not need them to fly and move at will. They can teleport and be in a different place every second.
The archons speak their own heavenly language and the infernal language. Even so, they can communicate with any other being using their empathy, so that they make themselves understood even if not a word of the angelic language is known.
The archon’s aura is one of his most striking qualities. When the archon manifests, his aura is one of pure goodness and his eyes are sympathetic and full of love. If the archon must take a more corrective attitude, his aura transforms into a broad luminous halo of protection for himself and any kind-hearted creatures present. If the archon must show hostility to an evil creature, his aura becomes a threatening halo thirsty for justice that very few infernal creatures escape, since it weakens and weakens the will.

An archon also has the ability to pierce the darkness and gloom with his mind, allowing his eyes to see all that the shadows hide.
The archon in action
An archon tries never to do harm. It is rare for him to fight an enemy and, if he does, he uses his power to neutralize, not damage. However, if his opponent is truly evil, he can bring on the dreaded wrath of the archon. At that moment, the archon becomes revenge personified and will not hesitate to use all his resources to attack and punish the creature.
Some of this enormous power is amplified by the weapon they carry. They usually use swords, tridents or runic spears. These arcane runes possess the ability to amplify the archon’s supernatural and celestial powers to the point where it appears as if the very god who sent the archon had appeared. That is why these weapons are not really used for close combat. Archons do not need to physically fight, although they can if they wish.
Archons also have certain natural resistances that make them more invulnerable. They can create magic circles against evil and are not affected by the elements like cold, lightning, etc.
