September 2025 eclipse: when it is, what it means and rituals to attract good luck

The sky will give us its last great astronomical spectacle of the year: the September eclipse 2025. This astronomical phenomenon will be of type partial solar and will last just over four hours, allowing it to reach up to 86% obscuration at its peak. A good closing for the last of the year.

Beyond the visual spectacle, eclipses represent portals of closure and rebirthideal for reflecting, letting go of what we no longer need, opening ourselves to new opportunities, thinking about our future and what we think about. Coinciding with the arrival of autumn equinoxthis event becomes even more intense and with more energy, inviting us to balance our emotions and sow many manifestations (intentions) for the coming months.

What is a solar eclipse?

A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon is placed between the Earth and the Sun, casting its shadow on our planet and obscuring, partially or completely, sunlight. This phenomenon, which has fascinated ancient civilizations for centuries, has always been surrounded by symbolism. While science describes it as an astronomical event, in the spiritual realm it is considered a powerful moment of transformation, introspection and closing of cycles.

Solar eclipses are often associated with necessary endings and unexpected beginnings. They are a kind of “energy portal” that invites us to rethink what no longer serves our lives and make room for the new.

Rituals to take advantage of the eclipse September 21

Even if you don’t see it directly in the sky, the energy of the eclipse can be felt and worked from any corner of the planet. Here are some simple and powerful rituals to channel its strength:

Energy cleansing with fire or incense

Turn on one white candle or sandalwood incense. As you do, visualize what your blocks, fears, or emotional burdens look like that you no longer want to carry with you.

Write and drop

Take a sheet and write down everything you want to leave behind: fears, habits, thoughts, relationships or situations that do not allow you to move forward or think about your future. Then burn the paper in a safe place as a symbol of liberation.

Meditation

During the eclipse, take a few minutes to meditate in silence. Imagine that a golden light from the sun enters you and that the Moon, when it intervenes, cleanses everything you don’t need. When you finish, thank you.

Use your crystals and quartz

Place quartz like amethyst and a white quartz close to you. These crystals help amplify protective energy in your favor.

water ritual

Fill a glass or bowl with water and leave it near a window while the eclipse occurs. This water is charged with the energy of the phenomenon and you can use it later to clean your hands, your face or to water your plants, symbolizing a new beginning.
