A couple of days ago I read a very beautiful writing in English by Elena Bernabé that was a balm for that part of me that is looking forward to hibernating and lowering the rare rhythm speeds of recent months.
I have translated it into Spanish spontaneously and I want to share it with you, since I intuit that we are many with a accumulated tiredness at different levels.
In fact, it has been the publication on the Cyclic Women’s page on Facebook with greater reach in all 2022, reaching more than 81,300 people.
«Grandma, I’m tired. Very tired. «
“Take your tiredness, my daughter, and wrap yourself from Him. Like a blanket in the cold winter months. Tired The flakes of your tiredness and let yourself be fully covered by them. «
«I could die buried down there …»
«You will be reborn. Like the seed on earth. Do not resist your tiredness, do not reject it with a thousand shares, a thousand intentions, a thousand feelings of guilt. He just wants to take your hand and take you to dissolve in a vacuum. Right there, where is the source of all inner force. They taught us to be strong resisting. But it is in the surrender that the true heroines emerge ».
«I have fear, grandmother.» What if fatigue annihilates me?
«My daughter, you are not afraid of fatigue, but to lose control of yourself. The time has come for you to give yourself to life. And to engender with her the most wonderful sons and daughters: The fruits of your soul!«
The last sentence is especially inspiring for me, and connects to what always emerges when I believe a space to rest deeply: That fertile and creative vacuum that opens when we give ourselves to the unknown.
