I feel once more greatly grateful to the Mexican midwives who came to Barcelona almost 16 years ago and shared with about 200 women – Mediterranean doules and comadrones – the indigenous tradition of «La Cerrada».

Since then, I have lived the great healing power of this ritual, first for women in the postpartum, to help a newborn mother to close and root after the enormous opening it brings at the time of giving birth, at all levels.

Then I have lived the power of this ritual at different moments of deep transformation, to help integrate a change, let a stage go, go through the chrysalis and rebirth as a butterfly …

A few days ago I had the privilege of living this ritual within a circle of women, of comadres, which we have been gathered for almost 16 years (many of us trained with these Mexican midwives at the same time).

It was beautiful to live this ritual with all the strength of the circle, united around a sister, accompanying her in her metamorphosis …

From all these experiences, we will incorporate the practice of ‘La Cerrada’ in our new face -to -face training and ritual facilitator. You have more information below.
