Two thousand kilometers of steep coast bathed by crystalline waters, with fine sand beaches and a mountainous interior full of little known cities and towns. Places such as Calasetta, in the Sulcis archipelago, at the southwest end of Sardinia, a still paradisiacal corner of the island, which occupies a dotted area of natural attractions and archaeological remains. The town, small and charming, is perched on a hill that descends to the port, enchanting beaches and dreamy sea the fragrant Mediterranean maquis, the traditions that are still felt and the excellent marine cuisine. It is the perfect destination to disconnect in nature, feel out of the world, live in peace.

A dream place, ultimately, but not just to spend a vacation. CALASETTA is one of the many Sardos municipalities looking for new residents. And, to find them, the island is willing to pay up to 15 thousand euros who wants to settle in it. The town, rich in culture, offers a postal landscape, but is quickly depopulated. Its history dates back to 1769, when about forty families of coral and tuna fishermen, originating in Pegli, of Tabarka's Tunecina Island, which Carlofort had already founded, they asked King Carlo Emanuele to also populate the north coast of the island of Sant'Antioco. Over time, the people have maintained their marine vocation, living mainly of fishing, but today suffers the lack of young people, who leave this corner of Sardinia to find work in other places.

This is the history of many coastal villages and villages in the interior of Sardinia, which run the risk of disappearing under the pressure of the constant depopulation, which affects the less fashionable areas of the island. Hence the idea: launch a campaign to attract new inhabitants to the smallest villages in Sardinia. Who proposes the Plan is the Regional Council, which has decided to allocate up to 45 million euros for the purchase or renewal of first homes in small municipalities, providing a lost contribution for all those who decide to move here, buy a house and establish their residence: up to 15 thousand euros per person (or per home). Specifically, the region undertakes to reimburse 50% of the expenses made with a stop of 15 thousand euros.
