The 12 m2 of this small study feel huge with this design

To condition this small study – only twelve square meters! – in a building of the early twentieth century, the Marn Deco agency, created by the interior designer Nicolas Payet, had to break and rebuild everything, from the concrete floor to the ceiling. The idea was to bring a strong style to a place that had none. The space is square and the architect decided to divide it into four small cubes, each with its own function.

The first, open, includes all the elements that are expected to find in a real kitchen: sink, cooking plate, refrigerator-gambelador, extraction bell, etc. The second, treated as a small cabin, dresses in a strong color: the terracotta. This is the watering room, which houses a suspended toilet, high -level storage, a real shower, a towel dryer and a sink. The last two cubes, together, are dedicated to the room, which is transformed into a rest area thanks to the convertible couch. On the hunt of lost space: on both sides of the door, hidden by the curtains, there are custom made cabinets. On the right, the classic shelves, to the left … a washing area with a washing machine, shelves and a closet.
