The third day of Holy Week It is considered Thursday, when the last dinner of Jesus with his apostles, Where he washed each other's feet, and through a religious discourse, he made a metaphor in which he shows a piece of bread and a glass of wine such as his body and blood, thus announcing his death, as well as other predictions that are part of the culture.
On Friday, Holy Week continues with the commemoration of the Crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth. After being captured after dinner, Jesus was whipped until, destined to die, he climbed a mountain with a wood in tow, in which he was nailed in life and waited for his death. Saturday is considered a day of mourning, since Jesus rose to heaven, reaching eternal glory.
Finally, the resurrection Sunday is celebrated because it is the day in which the Christian tradition ensures that Jesus «revived» to verify that he was the chosen son of God.
All this story found in the Bible, has been taken over the years by different countries and It is commemorated a whole weekhence the name: Easter week. In some places like Iztapalapa, in Mexico City, a theatrical representation and the Vatican are carried out, mourning is stored.
When is Holy Week?
Every year Holy Week is celebrated the first days of April or the last of March. In general, they become a few days off, and even, in one or two full weeks of vacation.
