The process behind tequila is equally complex and meticulous, all to ensure the improvement of possible quality in such a distillate. Under the direction of the Viridiana Tinoco distiliatory teacherthe aging of this tequila took 26 months, initially resting on barrels of whiskey American, and then be divided into two lots. One ends in barrels of whiskey Scottish from Skye Island, adding characteristic smoked notes; while the other ages in Speyside barrels, known for its sweetest nuances.
The result is an exceptional tequila with aromas of honey, peat, nutmeg and plum passes, accompanied by flavors of peat smoke, cinnamon and chocolate. This combination of aromas and flavors evokes the nostalgia and joy of memories shared during the Day of the Dead: a date on which Mexicans prepare colorful offerings and full of food to welcome, from the hereafter, to our loved ones who have died. From sugar calaveritas, to more prepared dishes, Mexican households are flooded with the smell of the cempasúchil flower, the lights of candles and photographs of those whom we do not forget.
