Mario Schjetnan, from GDU

Mario Schjetnan is one of the most recognized landscape architects in Mexico. Through its firm Urban Design Group (GDU) Schjetnan – who is part of the AD editorial board – has sought to return to Mexico City green spaces full of life. In 2015, the International Federation of Landscape Architects awarded the Sir Geoffrey Jellicoe Prize for its career dedicated to the improvement of the landscape, the city and the environment, being the first Latin American architect to receive this recognition.

Among his most recognized works is the Natura Garden of the Bicentennial Park, located in Azcapotzalco, and the rehabilitation of the Chapultepec forest.

Fernanda Rionnda of Sustainable Garden has participated in several occasions at the Flores and Gardens Festival.

Fernanda Rionnda, Sustainable Garden

In 2005, Fernanda Rionnda founded Sustainable Garden, a signature with which she has made himself known with a firm step in Mexico. The main objective of sustainable garden has been to improve the lives of people and their relationship with the city, their homes and their surroundings with strict adherence to sustainability standards.

Fernanda's designs are characterized by the incorporation of national flora, because through his work he has specialized in bringing the wonderful diversity of native plants in Mexico to people to know the history and life of each of them.

He has participated in several occasions at the Flores and Gardens Festival, which takes place in Mexico City, as well as in Design House, one of the top events of Design Week Mexico.

Kathrin Grimm de Aleno Sol has more than 20 years of professional practice and has designed landscapes throughout the Mexican Republic.

Kathrin Grimm and Lorena Iturralde are the heads of full sun, a firm that reflects their passion for landscaping through solutions tailored to each space and customer personality. Thus, they create spaces that are integrated into their surroundings and that also include works by plastic artists. Her vision has led her to participate in Design Week Mexico. Kathrin Grimm also serves as president of the Society of Landscape Architects of Mexico.
