A harpy is a nasty and hideous being, part woman, part vulture.
The lower part of its body and the wings are of a vulture, and the torso and face of a woman, specifically a witch. Her hair is thick and hard and matted, like a scouring pad, and her teeth are rotten. They don’t usually wear clothes and are always wrapped in a fetid odor. They are beings so dirty that they infect other beings by attacking them with their claws.
Their language is based on a kind of very unpleasant yelling and cackling. However, the harpies can sing, quite gracefully, a magical song capable of bewitching whoever listens to it, especially humans and demihumans. They use this song when they are trapped or when they want to attract occasional travelers to their lair.
They delight in bothering other beings and animals, however, they are quite cowardly, especially if they are alone, so they often run away. Despite this, they are very vengeful and can follow an enemy for miles.

Their lairs are located on the shoreline and are often shallow caves so dirty that no animal dares to approach them. In them they keep some treasures that are mixed with all the dirt. These hideouts are home to about ten or twelve harpies.
Harpies can sporadically collaborate with humans acting as spies.
