** Museum of Contemporary Art of Africa (Zeitz Mocaa), South Africa (2017) **

Thomas Heatherwick has transformed this old construction designed to store grain in the largest museum in the African continent. Dedicated to contemporary art, the building of 6 thousand square meters and nine floors, has 80 gallery spaces, a bookstore, a restaurant, a bar, reading rooms and a garden of sculptures on the terrace.

This museum redesign expresses a contemporary and creative vision of the place.

** The Vessel, New York (2019) **

Located in the heart of Hudson Yards, This observatory accessible to all audiences is one of the most ambitious projects of the artist. Made up of 15 floors and composed of 154 games of interconnected stairs with each other, inspired by the geometry of the Indian stairs, which refer to a hive.

A view of the center of Hudson Yards, a structure designed by Heatherwick Studio, temporarily called Vessel.
