Hot flashes and sweating in menopause: plants that help
Vasomotor type symptoms, such as hot flashes and night sweatsappear in many women with the arrival of menopause.
These discomforts are related to the sudden hormonal variations characteristic of this period, as the production of estrogen decreases, and can affect up to 80% of women over 50 years of age. But women who are still menstruating or who are pregnant may occasionally experience them.
The intensity and duration The symptoms vary greatly from one woman to another. Sometimes they occur only once a day or less, but in other cases they do so persistently throughout the day. At the same time, there are many women for whom it only lasts a couple of years, while others must resign themselves to living with these symptoms for one, two and even three decades.
Phytotherapy offers some solutions support with medicinal plants. Although they are not equally effective in all cases, they can be very useful to be able to enjoy this stage of life without so much discomfort.
He meadow clover (Trifolium pratense) is the first in our selection, due to its versatility in treating menopause symptoms.
It is common to use it in combination with sage (Salvia officinalis), another great ally of women.
