The cauldron in history and folklore

Many cauldrons have three legs to place them on the fire and, in the absence of them, they can be suspended from a simple tripod structure of three sticks tied to each other if used on an outer fire. This is reflected in the Greek tripods, a three -legged support to hold a sacrifice container, similar to a cauldron.
China had sacrifice containers of three similar legs called «dings.» Modern witches sometimes point out that the three legs represent the triple goddess, but she did not exist universally in antiquity. The reason for the number of legs is probably more practical: a three -legged structure is the most resistant in irregular land.

This is great. I do not have a traditional cauldron, but I have a beautiful bluish green cast iron that I thought it would work as well.

I found by chance two small cast iron cauldrons in a resale store in my city. Both have been widely used. I took them immediately. My husband and I (especially me) had always wanted to have a cauldron to add it to our list of witchcraft utensils.

I found my cauldron about 20 years ago, when I was just a child. I loved during all these years. My father took me as antiquarium and we found him. I have to start more use.

Oxide is easy to remove from cast iron. You just have to use olive oil and an abrasive cloth until it disappears. Add salt to scrub it if it is very resistant … and you will also manage to clean it well. The cast iron should not touch the water unless it is absolutely necessary. All oils/essences can be cleaned with a bearer … such as olive oil as well.
