These very small tetras are rarely commercially available. They are usually only found as by-catches.

These small tetras are not suitable for normal community aquariums. They are best cared for in the species tank.

At most, they can be kept in an aquarium with other such small fish. There is e.g. B. very nice little barbs and catfish that match the tetras. dwarf rasbora, e.g. B. Boraras brigittae and B. maculatus grow to 1.5-2 cm and are more common in aquarium stores.

Any other co-stocking would be pure murder for the little fish. In addition, these tetras are also quite expensive compared to their size, if the pet dealer knows what he has in the tank.

However, there are many beautiful tetras in the range from 3 cm to 4.5 cm that are also imported.
