special

Pennywort was used five centuries ago as a remedy used against diarrhea and lung diseases. Even today it is used in Eastern Europe as a medicine against rheumatism, consumption, bleeding and diarrhea.

This is a special and widespread species Gold Pennywort. The foliage of the herb is yellow in color and its shape resembles a gold coin, which is why it was used as a means of payment in the past.

Today it can be found as a decorative ornamental plant on balconies and terraces, as it is less vigorous than its natural instinct.
