L200, Lemon spotted Green Pleco – Baryancistrus sp., belongs to the same genus as L128. Both are drawn similarly. It’s unclear if both belong to the same species and are just different color forms. Possibly both are different species.

L200 are over 30 centimeters tall.

They can be kept in an aquarium 120 centimeters long.

Like catfish, they can also be kept in harder water. However, the origin of the fish from the upper Orinoco speaks for hardly any detectable hardship in the original habitat.

They are similarly territorial to Ancistrus normalus and rather nocturnal, at least very shy. Otherwise they are peaceful and, depending on the aquarium setup, cannot be seen for days because they like to lie in caves or shelters. Breeding has not yet been successful.
