A 240 liter aquarium is a very nice size, even for beginners. Not only can many different types of fish be used here, but decorating the tank can also be a lot of fun.
But which of the many types of fish fit in a 240 liter aquarium?
But not all fish get along with each other. The following is so that you know which fish go well together and how many of them fit in a 240 liter aquarium three crew examples.
Crew example 1 shoal tank:
Congo Tetras belong to the tetra species. However, with a length of up to 7 cm, they are slightly larger than most of their conspecifics. They are schooling fish and should be kept at least eight. They are available with a yellow shimmer as well as in blue. They socialize well with other swordfish and small fish species. They are very calm and even-tempered fish.
The red neon is one of the most popular fish in the aquarium. This is mainly due to its strong colors. These come into their own particularly well on a dark substrate. Since the red neon is also a schooling fish, it should be kept in a group of at least ten animals.
The calm armored catfish are also group animals and need at least five conspecifics. They like to dig on the ground and are happy about sand or very fine gravel.
crew example 2 South America Basin:
3 male and 6 female platys (e.g. rainbow platy) and
10 sickle tetras and
5 lupine suckers
Platys are group animals. They should always be kept with a majority of females. However, the fish can be mixed under their species. They multiply happily and quickly. Many plants in the tank and also floating plants on the surface are an advantage so that they feel comfortable.
The sickle tetra owes its name to its dorsal fin. It is a very peaceful fish and can be socialized well with other fish. Occult suckers look like butterflies and are a nice eye-catcher in the tank. This type of fish reliably cleans the panes and plants from algae. They need caves and roots to hide.
Crew Example 3 Southeast Asia Basin:
10 moss barbs and
5 Blackstriped Loaches
Moss barbs are beautiful and lively. They are peaceful, but also hectic. Therefore, they should not be socialized with tetras. Their beautiful colors make them a great eye-catcher in the tank. Loaches are active at dusk and at night. They are very peaceful and do not have high demands on the owner.
