What is green urbanism?
It is a way of conceiving architecture in conjunction with nature. It is an inclusive way to design cities based not only on the needs of man, but also on the importance of integrally including the environment within urban design. It means that not only the ridges and gardeners are important to create green spaces, and that including nature does not mean dominating it, giving it aesthetic or pleasant forms to the eye, but also changing that paradigm that has led us to turn shrubs into sculptures to appreciate the aesthetic value of the plant in itself, beyond the domain we can exert on it.
Green urbanism considers that any space is likely to be redesigned in favor of ecological balance and that it can become a more habitable place for all, regardless of the species. Its exercise erases the limits so conspful between “the countryside and the city”, turning the cities into places where grass, insects, animals, plants, fungi and other beings are welcome and have an important place within a larger ecosystem in which the human being is a host and not an enemy.

The three pillars of green urbanism
In addition to the environmental aspect of the inclusion of nature in urban spaces, green urbanism relies on three pillars that must interact with each other: the first is energy and materialsthe second is Water and biodiversity and the third the Urban planning and transportation.
Urban architecture within a green city Take into account the reduction of the carbon footprint of its inhabitants, seeks to use non -polluting energies instead of fossil fuels. At the same time struggle to generate new forms of water collection, reuse and ecological sanitation while taking care of the biodiversity of the spaces. But in addition, it plans cities so that individual cars and transports are reduced in favor of those who move massively, promote the use of efficient and ecological tansport. Intelligent lighting is a primary element for green urbanism, at the same time as the reduction of the sound impact of cities.
