If there is a flower that symbolizes raging romance, those are roses. Of elegant beauty and exquisite aroma, since ancient times they have sealed the most passionate love stories. The most common of the species is undoubtedly the one with an intense red color, but among its varieties there are more than 150 species ranging from white to pint. However, there is a species that has stolen the looks of all those flower lovers; the Osirian rose.
Flower growers often go in search of the rarest beauties, with vibrant colors and unusual combinations. So when photographs of the Osiria rose hit the internet, floral treasure hunters searched for ways to obtain this rare species.
This hybrid tea rose is extremely fragrant just like the other rose species. But among the characteristics that make it stand out, is its aesthetic combination of colors. The Osiria rose has velvety red petals, although this is not exactly what makes it so special. If you look closely you can see that it has a pristine white center that gives it a very picturesque and romantic appearance.
hybrid rose of great beauty
The species comes from Germany, where its creator, Reimer Kordes, hybridized it in 1978. It is believed that the Osiria rose is the result of a cross between the rose called Snowfire and another unknown seedling. Often, the creators of the most exotic hybrids hide one of the parent species, to safeguard the authenticity of their works.
Since its appearance on the internet, this species has attracted the attention of flower lovers. However, they have encountered an obstacle. And it is that the images that circulate are not entirely authentic, it is believed that they have gone through an editing process that accentuates their colors. Thus, when growers look at their Osirian rose bushes, they find colors that are more subdued and less pristine.

Edited photographs usually show the reverse of the red petals with a very dazzling white color. But in reality, the petals can vary from a cherry color to a passionate red, while their reverse is usually a more pinkish hue with a tendency to white. In addition, their cultivation faces great challenges, since the plant is often susceptible to insect attacks and diseases such as powdery mildew, so gardeners must take care of them too much.
Be that as it may, its beauty is worth admiring and only the most courageous, patient and experienced gardeners dare to cultivate it to get a closer look at its strange but picturesque beauty.
