The 35 years of Miguel Bosé’s career together

The hits, versions, adaptations and rarities are scattered throughout a jungle of more than 400 references, many of them on out-of-print vinyl or available only in distant countries. After 20 months of work, it has been possible to gather as many of these songs as possible in the first true compilation of Miguel Bose.

From its beginnings with Linda, Super-Superman or Don Diablo, passing through Amante bandido or Sevilla and ending with more recent hits such as Morenamía, Olvídame tú and Estuve a punto de… all, absolutely all are together for the first time on this album that Already on sale.

The historical images of TVE

In addition to the 73 songs that make up the backbone of this work, the DVD with 36 videos also hides great surprises. For the first time, historical images of her debut on the RTVE program “Esta noche Fiesta” (April 1977) where she performed three songs are published. Among them, she highlighted the ballad «Linda» that sparked madness among her fans from the day after the broadcast. Or the almost unknown video clip “Madrid, Madrid”, shot by Isabel Coixet in the 90s and the version that the mythical group Carmel made of “Si tú no vives” (If You Don’t Come Back) and in which video clip Miguel performs a fleeting but unmistakable cameo. The videos shot with Penélope Cruz, Malú, Ximena Sariñana, Gloria Gaynor, Bimba Bosé and Paulina Rubio could not be missing from this list of international stars that seems to have no end.

Realize…

It is only when one reviews the list of contents of this album that one realizes the impact that Miguel Bosé has had on our contemporary culture. How many artists, of any genre, can claim to have collaborated with Andy Warhol, Pedro Almodóvar, Paulo Coelho, Isabel Coixet, Penélope Cruz, and Tony Bennett, to name just a few? All evidence of those collaborations is found in the Definitive Collection. And when one comes across recordings by the same artist in Japanese, French, English, Italian and Portuguese, there is no longer any doubt about its universality.

And as a climax, the photo book

But all this effort could not remain on the surface. An 80-page book rescues some of the most characteristic photos of his career but also includes photos that will delight the reader: discarded album covers, photos that were never published, Warhol paintings and some photos of a teenage but unstoppable Miguel Bosé .
