Nicholas Symmes review: Huawei Matebook X Pro

Having a good computer has become a great need as a result of teleworking and online children’s classes. After months of quarantine, where I was able to test various high-end equipment, I reached the Matebook X Pro of huawei, which is an interesting pc where you look at it. I must admit that I hadn’t been using a computer with a Windows operating system for a while, so it helped me to better see what’s new on the device.

Let’s start with the big screen, where in this version, we have 13.9 inches in sizein a resolution of 3,000 x 2,000, with a glossy finish and a camera that is not located where we are used to, so the space is extremely well used. In fact, according to Huawei, lThe screen occupies 91% of the surface and the truth I believe them absolutely.

The panel has a density of 260 dpi, which provides excellent sharpness, allowing you to see all content in high definition. And another great novelty is that it is a touch screen, where you will get a quick response, easily detecting common gestures such as when zooming or scrolling on the screen.

The dimensions of the equipment (304 x 217 x 14.6 mm) make it a comfortable and interesting computer to use anywhere. It has 1.33 kilos, transforming into a light and robust equipment. In addition, in my opinion, aluminum makes it look aesthetically attractive and elegant.

Another important point of this laptop is performance, where we have a processor 10th generation Intel Core i7 with 16GB in ram. Here it is important to note that I gave it intense use for several weeks, where it never hung or lowered its capacity, despite the fact that I loaded many games that required great demand, even daily uses such as opening and closing many windows at the same time. Also, it comes with a graphics card.to Nvidia GeForce MX250which allows you to view multimedia content and run demanding games, despite not being a gaming computer.

An important issue on this computer is the location of the webcam. It is that in this model, it is integrated into the same keyboard, where we simply press on the camera key and it will appear automatically. The truth is, this function seemed interesting and functional to give more space to the screen. Here obviously the camera has an angle from below, but it seems to me that it is a customary issue over time.

The battery autonomy is another of the most important features in this ultrabook, thought about the mobility we constantly need. The truth is that in the duration, we have approximately between 8 and 9 hours of usability without problems. In fact, the battery is charged in less of three hours, thanks to the USB-C cable that has a 65W adapter.

As for audio, the MateBook X Pro has great sound quality, because it comes with four speakers distributed between both sides. The speakers are powerful enough to deliver clear sound even at high volume without distortion.

In conclusion, I think the equipment is quite premium wherever you look at it, highlighting the aluminum finish. You will have very good performance and good attributes that make it powerful in daily use. The subject of the camera is something that I cannot stop commenting on, but I think it is a matter of taste. In my case, I prefer the camera at the bottom to make better use of the screen without losing any space.
