Ingredients

  • 500 grams of threshed corn
  • 2 liters of water
  • 50 grams of corn flour
  • A cup of water with a tablespoon of baking soda
  • half a liter of milk
  • Panela, sandwich and cheese to accompany (all or some)

Preparation

Step 1. Cook

The first thing you should do is soak the threshed corn from one day to the next and throw away the water when you are going to use them. After this process, put it in a pressure cooker for about 30 minutes and pour the two liters of water. After this time, remove the air from the pot, open it and add the corn flour all at once, mixing very well so that everything is integrated. Return the pot (with the lid on) to whistle for about 20 more minutes over low heat. When this time has passed, uncover the pot again, but now add the mixture of water with baking soda and stir everything perfectly.

Step 2. Serve

Let it cook for about 10 more minutes or until the baking soda rises. It will be enough to put half a liter of milk to give it the final flavor. Stir this mixture very well and it will be ready to serve. Do it on individual plates and add pieces of panela, sandwich or cheese (or all three if you like) on top. Savor this delicacy right now.
