Garlic Bread Recipe

It is a very tasty snack, not so junky, quick to prepare and easy to make. With this recipe (if you like garlic, of course), you are going to shine.

  • 3 heads of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of oil (generally the recipes say olive oil but it is super expensive and also the taste is very invasive. We recommend that you use the oil you have at home and that you like)
  • Bread (ideally Baguette or Italian bread, but it is also delicious with marraqueta, so as not to complicate things unnecessarily)
  • 1/2 cup of butter.
  • 1 pinch of oregano.
  • 1 pinch of salt.
  • 1 pinch of pepper (optional).
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Preparation

Cut off the tops of the garlic heads and wrap them in aluminum foil. Then put them in the oven for 20 or 30 minutes over medium heat. (That way, when the garlic is cooked, it won’t lose moisture through the foil and you can easily scrape the garlic out of its skin. That’s why you’re going to cut off the tops.)

Then, in a container that you can heat in the microwave, you are going to put the butter and melt it a little so that it is manageable and easier to apply. Then to the butter you are going to add the oil, the previously ground garlic pulp, the cheese, the oregano, the pepper and a little salt.

Then, you are going to cut the bread into slices approximately 1 finger thick and you are going to put them on the oven tray.

For cleaning, we recommend that you put aluminum foil on the tray so that cleaning is not a disaster.

When all the bread slices are in the oven as if they were cookies, you are going to spread them with the butter mixture.

Then you bake over high heat for 15 minutes or until the bread begins to brown.

When you remove the bread you can add the chopped fresh parsley if you like. And that’s it.

To enjoy!
