3 simple recipes to make homemade body creams according to your skin type

Many of the commercial body creams have exorbitant amounts of toxins that are absorbed through the skin, eventually ending up in groundwater as ecosystem pollutants. The perfumes and other special characteristics of the creams are what implies the greatest risk for the environment and the health of the consumer.

Since our skin requires a daily process of hydration and restoration, we share with you some homemade alternatives to prevent the loss of elasticity, softness and moisture in the skin.

for dry skin

Ingredients: 3 tablespoons of soybean oil, a teaspoon of cocoa butter or margarine, 2 tablespoons of avocado oil, calendula essence and water.

Instructions: Place the soybean oil, cocoa butter and avocado oil in a saucepan to heat it in a bain-marie. Dilute 5 drops of calendula essence in water and then mix them with the previous oils. Store the mixture in the fridge and apply after showering.

For sensitive skin

Ingredients: 1 cup of cocoa butter and 1 cup of coconut oil.

Instructions: Heat both ingredients in a bain-marie until well mixed. Once it is ready, place the liquid in an airtight container and put it in the fridge until it sets. To use it, take a hand blender, beat the mixture until smooth, and then apply it to your skin. Store leftover mixture in a cool, dry place.

For oily skin

Ingredients: 5 drops of geranium essential oil, 5 drops of lavender essential oil, 60 grams of jojoba vegetable oil, a 7 x 7 sheet of beeswax, a container and two crystal glasses.

Instructions: Heat a glass in a bain-marie and then, inside the glass, place the sheet of beeswax over low heat until it melts. In the other glass, pour the 60 grams of jojoba oil, which is ideal for oily skin due to its antioxidant properties. Add the oil to the melted wax in a water bath and mix slowly until completely dissolved. Remove the mixture from the heat and then add the essential oils, which will help balance the oiliness of the skin. Finally, put the mixture in the fridge so that its texture becomes solid, pack it in a container and use it after showering.
